One of the most important goals of the Wayne Township Trustee Office is to help clients move from “Assistance to Independence.” Throughout his terms of office, Trustee Knox has continued to improve Wayne Township’s employment services.
The township’s Employment Training Center serves as a place where clients get the opportunity to seek and maintain gainful employment. Employment training classes are held every Wednesday. A variety of guest speakers come every week to discuss job opportunities, on the job skills, how to interview, resume building, and numerous other topics. During the client’s time on the training program they actively seek employment and are required to apply for jobs each week.
Information is provided and available for those with a felony record who are looking for employment opportunities. Located in our lobby is the Wall of Opportunity, where hundreds of jobs are displayed so that anyone can be frequently updated on employment opportunities throughout Allen County.
